News & Events As an organization, The Holter Financial Group often offers opportunities to its members to take part in social outings within the community. Most recently, members of the organization (pictured right) enjoyed a festive cruise down the Milwaukee River aboard the Edelwiess, courtesy of The Milwaukee River Cruise Line. Those that attended were able to view Milwaukee icons such as the Milwaukee Art Museum, Pier Wisconsin, Summerfest grounds, Port of Milwaukee Lighthouses as well as many historic buildings throughout the downtown area.
The past year’s economic woes have left millions of Americans hungry for financial security and searching for the stability that Northwestern Mutual offers, emphasized speakers at the 129th Annual Meeting to an audience of more than 10,000 people. General Session presenters from the field, home office and outside the company celebrated this strength. Acknowledging the tremendous challenges of the past year, they pointed to Northwestern Mutual’s remarkable feat of receiving the best possible insurance financial strength ratings from all four major rating agencies while the industry and many competitors were in turmoil. They shared experiences and stories, confirming confidence in a company that has kept its commitments and put policyowners first for 152 years.

Sales Congress In June, members of The Holter Financial Group had the opportunity to attend a company sponsored function at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva. There, presentations were given by several key-note speakers and attendees were able to participate in numerous team building activities. Among the many distinguished presenters was our honorary guest speaker, Al Granum (pictured right). Mr. Granum is legendary within Northwestern Mutual for his creation of the One Card System, the art and science of acquiring new clients by effectively applying sales skills and maintaining a high level of activity.
The Thursday morning session was followed by several opportunities for everyone to enjoy the Lake Geneva area. Several took advantage of the prestigious golf course at the Grand Geneva Resort while others chose to eat lunch at one of the highly acclaimed lakeside restaurants. While the golfers completed their rounds, the lunch crowd moved on to other activities including boating, bike riding, shopping and lounging poolside. The day concluded with a Social at one of the local establishments where food, beverages and entertainment were provided allowing everyone to sit back and relax.

Each year, College Financial Representatives and their parents are invited to join members of The Holter Financial Group for a celebratory evening. Throughout the evening they are able to meet the individuals that have an impact on their son or daughter’s experience as a College Intern and get a glimpse of what a great opportunity it is to be a part of the Northwestern Mutual Internship Program.

It is important to Steve Holter and The Holter Financial Group to recognize the achievements of individuals within the organization. With this in mind, the Evening of Honors event has become an annual tradition. This year’s event was held at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee and was comprised of an elegant dinner followed by an awards ceremony. The evening concluded with music and dancing, giving everyone a chance to celebrate the year’s accomplishments.

Monthly Client Builder sessions have always been important to the success of our Financial Representatives. During these sessions, Financial Representatives are able to share the intricacies of their practice and are given valuable feedback. This monthly exercise concludes with a Luncheon at the University Club in downtown Milwaukee where the learning continues with presentations from a variety of keynote speakers.
