As the Managing Partner of the Holter Financial Group, Steve Holter firmly believes in the T.E.A.M. concept. It was with this focus in mind that Steve formed his Leadership Team on October 1, 2007. The vision of The Holter Financial Group’s Leadership Team is simple: “Be the best.” Steve adds, “Every day we are working together to be a premier financial security organization. Every decision is made with the intent of being the best. That is what we are excited about building.”

 

Penny Cupertino

Penelope began her career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in January of 1978 as a member of Network Office #092 working alongside Hans Moser in his District Office. She continued to partner with Mr. Moser for 22 years. During their partnership, that District Network Office was the recipient of the “Top 3 Agency” award (out of 270 Agencies) and qualified for “Company Top 20” five times. Following that she became a member of the Network Office #092 team of Doug MacNeil and Laura Bouslough and remained with them through 2003.

In 2004 Penelope was employed as a direct team member of Network Office #092. She split her time between company operations responsibilities and providing assistance and leadership to the New Financial Representative Program as well as the College Internship Program.
 
With the appointment of Steve Holter as the new Managing Partner in 2007, Penelope transitioned into the role of Executive Assistant to the Managing Partner. As a member of both the Leadership Team and the Advisory Committee, Penelope is also a part of the organization's critical decision making process and plays an important role in the development of the organization.
 
Penelope was a recipient of the 2009 Commitment to Excellence Award.

 

James Grogan, CLU®

Managing Director

Jim, a native to the Milwaukee area has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry with ten years serving as a Managing Director. As a Managing Director he has the unique opportunity of balancing personal production and managing a district office. While managing a district office, Jim has the ability to recruit, train, develop, mentor, and support his Financial Representatives and staff.  

He has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and is a Board member of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Managing Directors Association as well as the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  Jim earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  A very passionate alum and sports enthusiast, Jim loves to cheer on the Badgers.  Jim and his wife, Meg, live in Menomonee Falls with their son, Matthew.         

 

Richard Hudock

Employee Benefit Specialist

Richard is one of five Executive Vice Presidents within SEBS Wisconsin LLC. Richard carries a Certified Health Consultant (CHC) designation from Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University, as well as his Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University.

After he graduated from Marquette University in 1974, he went on to work in manufacturing before joining Northwestern Mutual as an agent in 1976. In 1978, Richard left to work as a Taft-Hartley Trust Fund Specialist for Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin. Then in 1984, he returned to Northwestern Mutual to start Milwaukee Group Insurance Specialists, Inc. being one of the first employee benefit operations within a Northwestern Mutual General Agency in the United States. 

Appointed a Group Disability Specialist in 1988, when Northwestern Mutual Life started providing Group Disability Plans.  Richard wanted his clients to understand the differences in contract language and claim service between being insured by a Mutual Company like Northwestern Mutual were policyholders own the company verses stockholder owned insurance companies.  In the 22 years as a Group Specialist, he ranks 19th in company for Northwestern Mutual Group Disability production.  

In July 2009, Milwaukee Group Insurance Specialists, Inc. joined the three other Northwestern Mutual employee benefit operations forming, SEBS Wisconsin LLC becoming one of the largest employee benefit agencies in Wisconsin. 

 

Patrick Kohler, CLU®, ChFC®

Life Insurance Specialist

Patrick earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration – Finance from Marquette University in 1993.  He began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 1995 as a Financial Representative and built his practice while playing a dual role as a College Unit Director.  Patrick earned two professional degrees from the American College:  Chartered Life Underwriter(CLU) in 2001 and Chartered Financial Consultant(ChFC) in 2002.  More recently, Patrick was appointed to Life Specialist of the Holter Financial Group in 2008 and Chief Specialist Officer in 2010 while continuing to deliver financial security to his clients in the personal, business and estate markets.

Patrick is a current member and former Board member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) – Southeastern Wisconsin.    He has also been a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) since 2005.  MDRT members represent the top 1% of the world’s best financial service professionals and this elite organization requires it members to re-qualify on an annual basis.

Patrick and his wife, Heidi, live in Brookfield, Wisconsin, with their daughters, Savannah, Lilly and Ashley.  Patrick coaches his daughters’ soccer teams for the Brookfield Soccer Association and they are active in their parish at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Brookfield. 

 

Daniel Krivos

Managing Director

Daniel G. Krivos has been a Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Representative since October 24, 2000 and is the Managing Director of The Krivos Group. He was attracted to Northwestern Mutual because of the ability to positively impact the lives of his clients every day. He enjoys helping his clients achieve their financial security goals by offering appropriate solutions through in-depth fact-finding and relationship building. Dan is passionate about recruiting and developing Financial Representatives and plays an integral role in The Holter Financial Group Leadership Development Program.

Dan is involved with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and currently lives in Waukesha with his wife, Sarah, their 6-year old son, Nolan, and dog, Zoey.

 

Matthew Rewasiewicz

Financial Representative

Matthew Rewasiewicz started his career with the Northwestern Mutual as a college financial representative and accepted a full-time position in August of 2008. As a Financial Representative with the Holter Financial Group, Matt is currently an active member of the Leadership Team. Matt started as a team captain with the College Financial Representative Program, and currently serves as Recruiting Field Director where he develops new financial representatives into highly professional and successful individuals. Matt is also the Managing Director of the Waukesha District Office for the Holter Financial Group.

After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Consumer Affairs in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Matt was drawn to a career as a Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative when he interned at their network office during college. As a Financial Representative, Matt has achieved Power of 10, Pacesetter First 40 and Second 60 in 2009, and is one of the top new client producers in the Network Office. Matt also achieved Million Dollar Round Table in 2011. He focuses on working with individuals in the medical field, married couples, young families and entrepreneurs. He deeply enjoys the ability to impact the lives of others and help clients achieve their financial security.

Matt grew up in South Milwaukee, WI. Matt and his wife Nicole currently live in Franklin, WI with their daughter Ava. They look forward to growing as a family and becoming more active in the Franklin community. In his free time, Matt enjoys playing sports including basketball and soccer, and loves cheering on the University of Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers.

 

Scott Schwertfeger, CLU®

Managing Director

After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Scott Schwertfeger was drawn to Northwestern Mutual by the prospect of unlimited opportunity for professional achievement. To him, this achievement includes both helping clients achieve financial security and fostering the professional development of other Financial Representatives. Scott Schwertfeger’s position as a Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Managing Director helps him to build relationships with honesty, professionalism and knowledge.

Scott Schwertfeger is involved with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) as a Board Member for NAIFA Southeast Wisconsin.  He is also a member for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). MDRT is the premiere association of financial professionals. MDRT status designation is granted for one year and members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the MDRT.
 
Scott Schwertfeger and his family are members of the Ozaukee Country Club, where he serves on the Board for New Memberships. They also are members of the Milwaukee Curling Club and the Milwaukee Art Museum. Furthermore, Scott serves on the President’s Community Roundtable of Concordia University.

Robertta VonBehren

Chief Financial Officer

Robertta comes to Milwaukee from the Madison, WI area. While in Madison she completed her studies in Marketing and worked in the banking industry until the birth of her second child. While caring for her children, she went back to college to study both Business and Computer Programming. It was also during that time that she opened a family business which provided services in the Marketing and Advertising Specialty areas to businesses, schools and community organizations. Robertta’s involvement in the family business was on a part-time basis which allowed her to seek employment outside of the business. She was employed in advertising sales and retail accounting until moving to Milwaukee to join Northwestern Mutual as the Agency Controller in the summer of 2004. Currently, Robertta is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for The Holter Financial Group.
